Glass room in Oxford
6 × 3 m

The brief

A detached brick home in Oxfordshire with white windows and doors across the back. The owners wanted a glass room that would span the full width of the house and match its clean, white detailing – a space to use in the evenings as much as during the day.

What we built

A 6 × 3 m glass room in white aluminium (RAL 9016) with a clear toughened-glass roof and sliding glass walls on all open sides. White was the natural choice here: the frame disappears against the window surrounds and keeps the whole elevation looking light. LED strips, fitted by our team, are built into the roof beams, so the room glows softly after dark.

The details

The room sits on the existing paving with artificial lawn to the front. The sliding walls can be opened fully on warm days and closed against the weather in seconds. From the garden at night, the lit room becomes a feature of the house rather than an add-on.

The result

A full-width glass room that doubles as an evening living space – proof that a white frame can be just as striking as anthracite on the right house.
