Glass room in Rugby
6 × 3.5 m

The brief

This family in Rugby wanted to use their patio for more than a few summer weeks. Step one was shelter from the rain; step two, as it turned out, was a room they could sit in almost every day.

What we built

Phase one – a 6 × 3.5 m glass veranda in anthracite grey (RAL 7016) with one fixed glass side wall, fitted within five weeks of ordering. The roof uses 33% tinted graphite glass, which softens glare and heat on bright days while keeping the patio light.

Phase two – a few years later the owners asked us to close the front with sliding glass walls. Because the system is modular, we added the new walls to the existing structure without removing or rebuilding anything. The veranda became a glass room.

The details

Dimmable LED lighting, fitted by our team, runs along the roof beams for evenings, and the glass fixings are discreet.

The result

The owners tell us the room is used nearly every day, in every season. It is also a useful example for anyone unsure where to start: a glass veranda today can become a glass room later, at your own pace.
