Your information
Privacy notice
This notice explains how G&A Gardens Ltd uses the information you share with us when you ask for an estimate, send us a photo or get in touch.
Who we are
G&A Gardens Ltd (company no. 13642839, registered in England & Wales), 22 Hargher Street, Burnley, Lancashire BB11 4EG, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at [email protected] or on 07534 190640.
What we collect
- Details you give us in our enquiry form, by phone, email or WhatsApp: your name, phone number, email address, town or postcode, the product you are interested in, approximate dimensions, your message and how you heard about us.
- Photos of your space, if you choose to send them.
- Basic information about how you reached our website (for example the page you arrived on, the referring website and campaign tags in the link), together with a random visitor identifier stored in your browser. We use this to understand which of our channels bring enquiries.
- If you accept optional cookies: information about how you use our website, collected by the analytics and advertising tools listed under “Cookies and similar technologies”.
- If you become a customer: your installation address and the details needed to prepare your quote, carry out the installation and handle your warranty.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare your estimate and arrange a visit to measure – because you have asked us to (steps before entering into a contract).
- To install your glass room or veranda, take payments and look after your warranty – to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounting and tax records – because the law requires it.
- To understand which channels bring enquiries and to improve our website – our legitimate interest in running and developing our business.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting and database providers, email and messaging services, analytics and advertising providers (only if you accept optional cookies), and our accountants. They may only use it on our instructions. Where a provider stores information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. If you become a customer, we keep your details for as long as needed for your installation and warranty, and for as long as the law requires for our records. When we no longer need your information, we delete it securely.
Cookies and similar technologies
Always on. Our website stores a small record in your browser (local storage) to remember how you first reached our site, so that an enquiry can be linked to the right channel, and to remember your cookie choice. This information stays with us.
Only if you accept. With your consent we load Google Tag Manager, which runs:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) – to understand how visitors use our pages;
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google) – to measure enquiries from our adverts;
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) – to measure visits and enquiries from Facebook and Instagram;
- Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd) – heatmaps and anonymised session recordings that show how pages are used. By default, Hotjar does not record what you type into forms.
These tools set their own cookies. If you reject them, none of them are loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Videos on our project pages are shown through Google Drive, which may set its own cookies when you play them.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
